This Pattern Isn't Elegible for Rewriting

This “Crocheted Square of Pleasing and Unusual Design” pattern was designed in 1930. I looked it up at Wikipediea, and swastika-like symbols were popular quilt patterns before World War II. The centerpiece really is a beautiful design, but is unacceptable because the symbol in the center was subverted and stands for evil.

well how about changing the offensive symbol with a cross of David?
